Two days ago the gardeners killed this puff adder by our front gate. This is the third puff adder since the Harbert folks have lived in this compound. They have also killed a black mamba and a spitting cobra. I will not share my friend's reaction to the cobra rising up to strike at the gardeners when they cornered it because this is a family blog;-) Needless to say, we will not be playing in the grass anytime soon. These snakes are hidden so well in the grass you would hardly see them before you stepped on them or they bit you. Since it is spring and the rainy season is coming, all the snakes are on the move. They are also restless because the fields are all being burned this time of year.
PS: please don't tell my mother;-) I have also posted a sunrise picture, though it didn't turn out very well. There are some amazing sunrise/sunsets here!
Dear God that's frightening!!!
